In July 2021 Our mixed breed 10 year old Scooby was in terrible pain from arthritis. He cried every time he stood up or lay down.We Actually thought that we may have to put him down. We changed vets and took him to Hakuna Matata to see dr Kiki who immediately changed his food and medication . She suggested we try Lorren the animal Physiotherapist who had helped so many animals with the same condition. So we started visiting Lorren. Scooby loved her and was always so happy to see her. Well the rest is history, this lady is amazing, Scooby is now pretty much back to normal. Walking, jumping, running…and so happy.
We cannot thank Lorren enough and I would highly recommend her to anyone who has a dog in pain.
At our last visit to dr Kiki, one of the receptionists was telling people in the waiting room that Scooby was a miracle dog!

Lorren was there for the last few months of my baby girl’s life. She came all the way to my home to treat her and relieve some of the pain from the cancer and arthritis. She handled her with great care and kindness, being in tune with her and what she needed on the day. She was also there to help, support and advise me on our journey till the very end. I can recommend her wholeheartedly.

Working on animal’s wellbeing is more than just a profession/job for Lorren Barham. She really cares about her patients and puts in a lot of effort, and the extra mile to help them and their parents. She offers a comprehensive and holistic treatment plan with many options to follow, which is so refreshing because all health matters need holistic intervention. She works closely with the animal parents in a sensitive and intuitive manner to suit every household’s individual needs. In my opinion she is a healer body worker, aka animal whisperer, and we appreciate her immensely. Her touch with our dogs is amazing to observe and experience. Our 15-year-old Parson Russel Terrier responds very well to the spondylosis treatment, and what a privilege to receive home visits which makes it very comfortable for the parents in terms of time management. Princess Jesse still does daily walks, happy and comfortable without pain, all because of Lorren’s outstanding service on so many levels. Where do you find a doctor asking about the patient’s wellbeing after a session and offering advice if needed – that is the A-grade service Lorren offers. Our 6-year-old mixed breed rescue dog has anxiety and other issues from a traumatic past which is also addressed by Lorren. She applies massage for relaxation and offers generic advice which we find very valuable, and Simba loves her visits and cuddles. We are blessed to have her in our lives.

Loren is a fur-baby angel. She is just incredible – the result speak for themselves. Roxy (our 12 yr old boxer) who has a long history of hip dysplacia, collapsed suddenly one night and couldn’t walk. Loren treated her twice and she was back to being able to function just as she had before the collapse. Withing a couple of says she was back to her old self, walking with ease and wagging her jelly-bean tail.
Loren just has the most incredible nature and her love and care exudes from her and is completely infectious. She taught us how to carry on the treatment at home with so many different, simple things that we could do that made the absolute world to Roxy’s recovery.
I will forever be in debt to her for her love and care of our baby.

Over the last few years, we have gone to Lorren on several occasions for treatment for my Beagle Duke.
He has had two Cruciate ligament operations, Neck & Back issues, and has had Physio, Laser treatments, also at one point was having Water treadmill therapy with Lorren. All of which was very successful for Duke.
Her love of all animals is apparent in the way she deals with our beloved pets, also her very professional & caring way in dealing with her clients.
I would not hesitate in recommending Lorren to anyone, whose pets may need help.

Lorren is so wonderful and her passion for veterinary physio is clear from the moment she started working with our fur-baby, Frank. He’s in his happy place whenever he spends time with her and is always excited to see her. The progress has been clear from one session to the next, and we’ll be continuing on with maintenance sessions to ensure he stays in the best shape.

Max was diagnosed with cruciate ruptures in both knee joints as well as hip dysplasia in October 2020. He went from a lively, elderly Maltese poodle living with arthritis to being immobile. Initially, Max could not walk or relieve himself but after starting sessions with Lorren, he regained his mobility in under 2 months. His appetite also returned, so much so that Lorren advised that he lose some weight to ease the pressure on his hips and knee joints! These treatments have been crucial in helping him adapt to his condition without surgery, which is the best outcome we could have asked for given his age. Over the past 2 years, they have helped ease his pain and discomfort thereby improving his quality of life. Lorren has gone from physiotherapist to Aunty and supports us with much needed recommendations as well as advice about supplements, additional supportive aids and reading material. She also provides us with updates after each session, at home exercises and even photos, attesting to the fact that she always goes the extra mile.
Many thanks for all the support over the past 2 years Aunty Lorren! We appreciate your skill as well as all the love and care you have given not only Max, but us as well!

Lorren was there all the way through my crisis with Bindi. Always with words of encouragement and following up regularly on her progress. Bindi always feels safe in her care and I know that I can trust Lorren 100%. Also, to give the best advise and to refer when needed. Always sending reports to the relevant people in the background. Bindi and I feel very looked after with Lorren. Bindi has an ongoing issue that will last the rest of her life and Lorren and I will still spend many an hour together. Always a pleasure to see her. Thanks for all your care and support Lorren. Bindi and I are incredibly grateful to have you available to help us. I would highly recommend Lorren through her dedication and support to her clients.

Lorren treated our bulldog puppy, Higgins, who was suffering from a shoulder strain. Lorren quickly diagnosed his condition and was able to get Higgins on the road to a full recovery.
We were really impressed that she travelled to our home, bringing containers full of accessories and dog toys; everything she needed to effectively treat Higgins. We realized that Higgins was not only starved of movement (he was unable to go out for walks or play with other dogs), but he was also starved of mental stimulation. Lorren came equipped with everything that Higgins needed to get excited about each and every session. He willingly participated in all of them and Lorren made sure to change it up every week. Higgins not only loved all of Lorren’s dog toys and accessories, he absolutely adored her and was over the moon with excitement when I announced her arrival at our home.
Lorren always checked up on Higgins after a session. She was always available on WhatsApp to answer my questions. She also sent through good reading material and strengthening exercises for him.
Higgins has now recovered from his injury and Lorren has given us a good road map of next steps for him.
I highly recommend Lorren’s as a veterinary physiotherapist. She’s a friendly, knowledgeable, experienced professional who is clearly passionate about helping animals (and their distressed parents).

Lorren has worked her magic with rehabilitation on 2 of my Saint Bernards. She is so caring and loving towards the animals and goes the extra mile.
It is great that Lorren comes to the house, the animals are in their comfort zone and not as stressed to go to a strange place, so they are much more at ease to be worked on.
Lorren has been very creative to come up with exercises to strengthen my 11-year old’s hind-legs and he is doing really well and enjoying the time she spends with him. She messages me regularly to check how he is doing and is always willing to assist with anything, she even gave me a recipe to bake biscuits using his special food as he can’t eat any treats.
He loves his home-made biscuits now
Thanks Lorren, I will definitely recommend anyone to give Lorren a call and experience her healing with loving care for your pets firsthand.

Lorren helped my Ollie recover from his elbow surgery. He was only 9 months old and we were unsure how to treat a bouncy Labrador, after major surgery. Lorren helped us with low-activity games to keep him stimulated, home exercises and ensuring that Ollie was happy and safe in the underwater treadmill. It has been 5 years since the surgery and Ollie has been doing so well, and we would have not come this far without Lorren’s guidance, and love and care for her patients. Lorren has also been ‘treating’ my other Labrador, Barry with the best home massages for his stiff muscles and some really fun outdoor games and puzzles, which both boys enjoy to the fullest!

My little boy Lex (tabbly cat) was hit by a car before I adopted him and had to undergo hip surgery.
Once I adopted him I reached out to Pet Wellness Worx for assistance in helping him recover.
Lorren, who is the Physio dedicated to Lex has just been amazing. She comes out to us to make sure that Lex is in a safe space and comfortable when doing his physio.
I think he likes her as she always bring treats and toys with for him. Not only does she help me during the sessions but even when my sessions was complete she always checked up on Lex to make sure that he is doing well.
Thank you so much Lorren for treating Lex the same way that you would treat your own cats.

I can say is that you were always so caring, kind, and loving towards them and I really appreciated that.
I think the most benefit came from your advice about stopping them from going up and down the stairs too often which ultimately led to us putting in stair ramps
Your advice of feeding Lioney from an elevated surface and getting Tia a slow feeding bowl was great, as well as advising us on a new harness for Lioney, and a cat toy to try and get the cats to lose weight.

I would fully recommend Lorren’s physiotherapy services! She has made such a huge difference to my dog’s quality of life.
She is an extremely caring person and her love for animals really shines through during sessions. She is always so sweet and loving towards my dog and goes out of her way to make sure she feels totally comfortable and safe. I also don’t ever feel as if sessions with Lorren are rushed – she takes her time to explain the process and make sure I am completely informed about what she is doing.
Overall, the service she provides is uniquely personal and extremely beneficial.

After being diagnosed with cruciate ruptures in both knee joints as well as hip dysplasia, Max went from a lively, elderly Maltese poodle living with arthritis to being immobile with a loss of appetite. Initially, Max could not walk or relieve himself nor enjoy his favourite pastime of protecting his territory from intruders. Since starting his sessions with Lorren, Max has not only regained a lot of his mobility but is now once again able to “protect” his home and family. Max´s appetite has also returned, which confirms just how much better he feels. So much so that Lorren has advised us that he lose some weight to ease the pressure on his hips and knee joints! I know that his sessions and treatments have helped ease his pain and discomfort and improved his quality of life. She has gone above and beyond to provide us with recommendations and advice with regards to supplements, additional supportive/assistive aids as well as reading material and exercises to do with Max at home. She has even ordered Max´s new orthopedic bed for us, attesting to the fact that she always goes the extra mile for her clients which is so rare in nowadays. Since I live in Berlin and Max lives with my parents in Cape Town, I was able to set this all up remotely, including making payments, which testifies as to how well Lorren has established her business, despite the current COVID-19 pandemic. My parents have joined Max´s sessions and have provided the following testimony to Lorren´s expertise and aptitude: Esther Neethling: “Lorren clearly knows her job. She is skilled and a professional, is punctual and has an excellent after sales follow up. She always enquires about Max´s well being after each treatment. She treats Max with love and patience and with great skill. She is gentle and is clearly an animal lover. She is kind and gentle towards all animals including the human beings that accompany the patients. We would recommend her to anyone, anytime!” Many thanks for the support Lorren! We appreciate the skill, care and love which you have provided not only Max, but us as well over these past few months

I was so lucky to find Lorren a few years ago when my beautiful boy had cancer and was needing remedial treatment.
Lorren was incredible with him and I will be forever grateful for the increased quality of life he had in his last 18 months.
I now make sure, with my new 2 year old Mollie, to have regular sessions with Lorren – she works with Mollie to relieve tension, proactively helps with exercises to strength muscle groups and joints for her long term physical health… and Mollie loves her! She loves the ‘doggy relaxing music’ and the amazing ‘massage’ that it feels like to her 😊.
I cannot recommend Lorren more highly, the difference I see in the way Mollie moves, sleeps and east after her sessions with Lorren make so incredibly happy to know I am doing everything I can for my beautiful girl and he health and happiness.

Lorren has the most amazing manner with animals. Levi (our beloved dog) loved her from the moment she started working on him. She is gentle, and gets down to their level. She sits on the floor with Levi (he’s virtually on her lap!) and talks to him constantly while she’s busy massaging him. Lorren is very caring in the way she handles him. She also used her laser on his ears which ca n be quite sensitive, and Levi was totally fine with her fiddling and treating them. She is constantly reassuring him throughout her treatment and very aware if they become a bit stressed about anything. Also, she would chat to me, inbetween chatting to Levi, giving me ideas and advice on things that I needed to know with regard to diet, vitamins, exercise, etc. I would highly recommend Lorren’s services as a Veterinary Physio. She’s a dog/animal whisperer as far as I’m concerned!

Lorren has been absolutely amazing to us and has had such a massive effect on Bear’s recovery. Bear is a new dog, so full of life and pain free. A few words describing how important Lorren has become to my dogs over the past 10 years. I have known her in business, and as a life saver for my dogs. I show and own Dalmatians. She has always shown kindness to me and to my animals. At the moment she is treating 2 of my dogs. The 1 nearly lost his front leg due to a dog fight, so he is compensating with a back leg. She treats him every couple of weeks and the difference is remarkable. My old Lady of 13 is struggling with her back legs and other complications. The difference in her as far a pain management fantastic. What I like is that it is not a 5 minute job. She works with your animal until she has achieved what needs to be done in does not matter how long it takes. In a nutshell she has years of experience and loves the dogs. There is no one that I would use or recommend other than her. A more honest, reliable person one could not wish for.

Lorren changed our precious rescue 'Archie's life. And ours too. We adopted Archie at 9 months old as an abandoned, fearful yet beautifully kind and loving "snowman", not knowing he had a very bad leg fracture that had not repaired properly. He had been living with pain, abandoned and alone for most of his short life. We supported him through surgery and the long recovery in a cage which was very challenging with 3 other dogs of varying ages. It became apparent that despite this, that Archie was not walking properly. We were sad and disheartened. Then Aunty Lorren arrived. What a blessing. Within 2 sessions, Archie's muscles were less tense and he was using the pad of his foot! After following her advise and keeping up the physio, I am so happy to say that he is a vibrant, happy and confident dog. Running around, jumping onto couches and beds and enjoying long walks…. Thank you Lorren for your phenomenal expertise, your kind and caring nature and your amazing ability to interact with animals.

Watching Loren work with our female pitbull Luna has been a wonderful experience, for both Luna and ourselves. Luna responded instantly to Loren and within minutes of the first appointment she was relaxed and literally handed herself over to Loren – it was as if she knew that Loren was going to help her. Luna had her 2nd cruciate ligament op in July at the age of 9yrs and because of pain, muscle spasms etc she was basically a 3 legged dog – loathe to put her back leg down even when just walking. It has only taken 3 sessions with Loren for her to happily trot along on her walks – all 4 feet on the ground. You can see she no longer has those bad muscle spasms and she is generally much more comfortable. Loren made contact with our dog walker (Sara), invited her to come to a session and showed Sara exercises that could be included on their walks to assist Luna with her rehab. This has helped tremendously.
Thank you Loren for your dedication to Luna’s recovery, we really appreciate it and highly recommend your services.

I would just like to thank you for all your kindness, love and support you always show towards our fur children. You treated our beloved Diesel from a liitle boy right up until he passed over that rainbow bridge. The care, kindness and support you and your team offered us was so reassuring and helped us through a very tough time-your treatments extended our boys life and he so benefitted from the treatments (which he loved). You are now treating young Junior and once again you have gone beyond the normal call of duty- having you come to our home is a huge help and puts a nervous boy totally at ease. I am sending you some pictures and you can feel free to use my recommendation in any manner you wish. May you go from strength to strength.

I’ve known Lorren for almost 3 years during which time she has offered excellent care for our dog Fred who was a rescue dog that we adopted three years ago. His knee had been badly damaged, and he had to have two operations to repair it. The physiotherapy, under water treadmill and exercises that he needed have all helped greatly with his healing. Lorren’s commitment and personal service is amazing and coming to our home to do physio and exercises with Fred has hugely benefitted him on his road to recovery. We credit Lorren with having given us back our dog! Tinkie was in a very bad way when Lorren first met her. She could barely walk and simply couldn’t get up stairs at all. She was generally unenthused by life it seemed. Then she met Lorren and her world changed. Lorren worked out a program tailored to Tinkie’s specific needs and helped us every step of the way until the day the twinkle came back into Tinkie’s eyes and she started to amaze us all with her increased mobility and zest for life.
